My goal is to post something every day. Now that I’ve done that, I have to think of something to write. I wandered around this morning and came up with Newspeak, described in the Orwell novel Nineteen Eighty-Four as “the only language in the world whose vocabulary gets smaller every year“. I like the word “duckspeak.”
duckspeak – (To quack like a duck). To speak without thinking. Can be either good or bad, depending on who is speaking, and whether or not they are on your side.
Oh how true this one is. Half of what I hear at work could be described as duckspeak, and it’s all doubleplusungood.
