Fog gives a quality to the available light that can’t be duplicated. Today, the fog never lifted, though it threatened to several times. While set up with camera and tripod waiting for the fog to clear, a woman out walking her dog stopped to chat. She said if I was interested in landscapes, I should walk toward Zell a. E., a nearby town. I took her advise, and made this picture on the way.
Foggy Day

This is a great picture! What are the stand and bench there for? Is this a road or a path?
It’s a resting spot, I suppose. The view isn’t much sitting on the bench – just a small concrete road. The stand hold a some kind of religious display. I didn’t take a close look at it at the time.
Maybe the tree and the stand have significance to that spot, similar to seeing a cross with flowers along side a highway where someone died in a car accident, etc. I’m curious.
Then I shall look into it!
